Preflight one public domain's universal-link (iOS) and App-Links (Android) source config before a release. Derives the well-known paths from the host and live-fetches all four endpoints (/.well-known/apple-app-site-association, the legacy root /apple-app-site-association, Apple's CDN cached copy, and /.well-known/assetlinks.json), then reports reachability, HTTP status, final content-type, the recorded redirect chain, downloaded byte count, JSON validity, AASA applinks/webcredentials/appclips key structure, assetlinks relation/target/package/fingerprint shape, and per-host coverage. It distinguishes not-published from invalid from unreachable, and reports assetlinks fingerprints as structural shape only. It checks the source config files, not real on-device deep-link resolution, app-install state, app-store listings, or the real signing fingerprint. A pass covers only the platforms whose config is actually published. Each call fetches four endpoints and usually returns in about a second, stretching toward 15 seconds only when a host is slow to respond.

Runs the same bounded deeplink_check on each host (all four derived endpoints) and reports side-by-side pass status, per-endpoint reachability and content-type deltas, redirect and JSON-validity differences, key-structure and per-host coverage differences, distinguished-state differences, and a winner only when the measured checks support one. Use deeplink_check for a single domain. Each comparison fetches four endpoints per host and usually returns in about a second, stretching toward 15 seconds only when a host is slow to respond.

01What can I check with Deep Link Check?

Check www.wikipedia.org to derive the well-known iOS and Android association paths plus Apple's cached CDN copy, or compare wikipedia.org with www.wikipedia.org to find host-specific configuration drift.

02How should I read the result?

Start with coverage and each platform's state before pass: pass says every published platform configuration passed and can still be true with iOS or Android absent. Publish both platforms for full coverage, then fix error-severity transport and structure issues. Absent or unreachable platforms, truncation, and fingerprint shape-only checks remain inconclusive until verified on a real device and against the actual signing fingerprint.

03What are its limits?

This inspects public association-file delivery and structure, not real on-device routing, app installation state, store listings, entitlement configuration, or whether a declared Android fingerprint matches the shipped signing key. Pass applies only to platforms whose config is published.
