Validates one directly hosted public NeTEx transit dataset (a per-region ZIP export or a single NeTEx XML document) against the CEN NeTEx schema and the Entur Nordic profile ruleset (ID uniqueness, reference resolution, entity-type, and the Nordic XPath rules), run offline in a no-network sandbox with the vendored EUPL-1.2 netex-validator-java engine. Returns the conformance verdict: a conforms boolean, severity counts (error/warning/info/critical), findings grouped by rule and severity, bounded per-finding violations naming the offending file, element, and line, a structural inventory (frames present, line/route/service-journey/stop-place counts, codespace, NeTEx version), and distinguished absence states (not-a-NeTEx-document, schema-invalid, unresolved-references, profile-not-detected). Use for one-dataset Nordic-profile conformance and diagnosis: 'is this NeTEx valid under the Entur Nordic profile', 'will it pass a Nordic-profile harvest', 'what conformance problems does it have'. A conforms result means only that the bytes satisfied the CEN schema and the applied Nordic profile at the named engine version; it never judges whether the timetables match real service, whether the stops exist, or whether the fares are current, and it does not validate an un-hosted local file. EPIP and other national profiles are out of scope. It streams and validates a live multi-megabyte dataset and can take up to ~110 seconds; a large national aggregate may exceed the budget, so prefer a per-region export or single document. Always state which profile the report reflects.

Runs the identical vendored netex-validator-java validation over exactly two directly hosted public NeTEx datasets of the same lineage (baseline first, revised second) sequentially under one shared 115-second deadline, then reports which conformance findings regressed or were resolved. Use it for same-codespace region-versus-region comparisons or the same URL before and after a daily rebuild: 'did this rebuild regress the dataset', 'which region has fewer conformance problems', 'what changed between the two exports'. Returns per-dataset hashes, detected profiles, conforms verdicts and severity counts, a comparability note asserting both resolved to the same profile and codespace (flagging the pair as not comparable otherwise), a regressions list (rules that appear or worsen in the revised dataset), a resolved list (rules removed or reduced), and a ranking by conformance then fewer error-level findings. The ranking orders automated conformance only (it never means one dataset's timetables are truer, more current, or reflect better real service), and human review remains required for both. Each dataset streams and validates live, so prefer per-region exports; a large national aggregate can exceed the shared budget.

Fix the most severe violations using their file, element, and line evidence. Treat a comparison as lineage evidence only when comparability.comparable is true; truncation can hide further violations or rule differences.
The validator applies the CEN schema and Entur Nordic profile to a public ZIP or XML document; EPIP and other national profiles are outside scope and may produce misleading violations. Large aggregates can exceed the runtime budget, and conformance does not verify real timetables, physical stops, current fares, or agency status.
